We recognize that being alone maybe good for short periods of time, but if that is what your day is about, then a problem exists. It can be due to a myriad of reasons, but regardless of the reason, it becomes a problem of mental and physical health. We all know people who are depressed and housebound, and as the families try to assist, sometimes the afflicted get more advanced within the problem. They are embarrassed, afraid, despondent and just don’t know what to do. It is hard to admit to oneself that a problem exists, and many don’t want to hear it from anyone else either. While this condition is being recognized as a major issue in our population, we really don’t know how to deal with it, nor stop it’s advancement.
